Need some help with the basics!

Hello,

I noticed all the sites hosted at studiopress have the www.studiopress.com

When I host my sites there are all http://mysite.com (no www.)

I am assuming its a server issue and I would love to know what I am doing wrong as I think the no www is effecting my ranking.
