genesis blog on asp.net site

Hi,

I'm planning a new website, and I want part of it to be a WP blog with a Genesis theme.

The web developer has proposed to build the site with asp.net.

Should i have any concerns? I'd seen some posts on other forums saying that this could be problematic and to use php instead.

If it is relevant, I want the blog as a sub directory.
