Update To Latest Wordpress 3.1

I am currently using the Corporate 2.0 theme and want to upgrade the latest Wordpress 3.1. Will this cause problems with my theme?

I have the latest version of the Corporate theme which I could install, but I am concerned it will not support my customizations. Should I be concerned?

What is the process to install a new version of the same theme?
