Post On Front Page

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me with this theme. I'm using it for 2 different websites. One website I activated the wp theme and set it as www.yourconciergecoach.com/blog. That one has my post posting on the home page as I want.

The other www.ladconciergegroup.com was set as static when I initially set it up on wp, but when I post to it, my post do not post to the front page. What am I doing wrong?

Also, at the top of the home page it has a big spot that has a picture or you can put a choice of pictures that has featured content next to it. How or what do I do to make that happen?
