Magazine Theme: 4th homepage display?

Hello,

I want to add a 4th homepage display under the "top left" and "top area" that looks like the "homepage main".

How can I do that? Do I have to insert something like …

$query = new WP_Query( 'category_type=examplecategory' );

And where to?
