While I've done several new
developments of sites using custom post types and custom taxonomies.. I have a new 'challenge' and I'm not quite sure how this could/would be handled within word press. There are so many gurus here who know so much more than I on this particular topic, I'm seeking help.
Here's what I've got..
a type pad to word press migration where the original blog has three sections a) something.com b)something.com/blog-b and c)something.com/blog-c,
wordpress install having custom post types/taxonomies. (doesn't have to be this way..just thought it would be the best solution)
Here are my questions.
1. how would one go about the import of the existing posts/categories etc in this situation.
2. is it possible for the import to work this way or would one have to import to a standard install then form the taxonomy/custom post type and assign posts from there. 3. Am I on the wrong track? Should I go with a multi-site install and simply have all the posts from all the areas hit the front page and have 3 separate blogs for the client to post to..
I'm swimming in confusion as to the best way to accomplish this.. Anyone?
