Extra Space?

Ok, check out http://www.theslowbleed.com/ (two issues that I am now addressing).

1. Where is the "extra space" coming from between the headline and the photo? The photos should be aligned. Actually happening on the photo below right as well.

2. Two, how can I make sure the second set of boxes are in line with each other. I have tried to play with the page breaks but that seems like a pain.
