banner trouble

I have the classic lifestyle theme. I went under my widgets tab, put something in my 468x60 header banner spot, realized my mistake and then deleted it but now at the top of my page, there is a purple blank over the top of what is suppossed to be there and I don't know how to get rid of it? Any suggestions?
