Embedding feeds into another site

Hello,
My StudioPress installation is at http://resources.mosaicsecurity.com

I have two category feeds that I'm embedding into my main home page at
https://mosaicsecurity.com. You'll see the two blue boxes on the bottom right of the home page that are pulling the two category feeds:
http://resources.mosaicsecurity.com/software-news
http://resources.mosaicsecurity.com/securitysifter

However, I'm experiencing issues with these feeds timing out and not appearing. Is there a better way to pull the feed?
