Default WP and Genesis Upgrade Tutorials
It has been a while since coming back to the forum, I experienced a website hack attempt and have been advised by all to please upgrade...

First of all, our website is still operating under WP 2.92, should I upgrade our Classic Church theme to WP 3.21 before attempting the upgrade to Genesis/Church Child theme?

I could not find the classic to Genesis child theme migration tutorial anywhere on the forum, guess I am really behind the times still running the classic theme, can anyone direct me to this tutorial?

Any suggestions or hints concerning this dual upgrade process would be most appreciated since I am still a novice to WP and website development. Our website is ony lightly customized.
