Error when activicating fabric theme

I recently purchased fabric theme, however when I found an error when activated this theme: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homepages/34/d366148223/htdocs/web/wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/classes/sanitization.php on line 9

Can somebody show what it means and how to fix it? Thank you.
