Default How to Password Protect wp-admin Folder in cPanel

Hello fellow 'Pressers,

I'm having a difficult time trying to password protect my wp-admin folder using cPanel. My Googling has come up short as well.

I sense that the Wordpress .htaccess file in the public_html folder overwrites my password protection or something.

Has anyone had success with this?
