Directory Plugin Needed - Any Suggestions

I have a site that is requiring two directories. One to list the photos and background of coaches and the other directory to list their business sponsors. What I am looking to do is have about 50 thumbnail images per page with their name, title, team or school district the coach belongs to and then when you click the thumbnail it takes you to their page which lists their background out in detail.... kinda like a bio with contact information. The second directory would be where I could load the logos of the business, have their name and then when you click the logo, it will go to a page about the business - or if maybe when the picture is click a hover box with the business description will come up.

Or... something similar, but I really need the 50 thumbnail images per page linking to each coach for sure.

Any ideas about plugins or if I could just get a custom TEMPLATE with the coach layout, then add their picture as a Featured image - and then have the 50 thumbnails on a page with arrows going to the next 50 coaches?

I know that's a lot but... I am explaining it as best I can!
