Default Breaking Out New Websites

So, I've been working for so long on websites for the FarPoint Media shows that my own websites have laid around moderatly neglected for the better part of the past 3 years.

So, while I'm looking for work again and have time, I have started retooling some of my play and work sites. The first one's done now.

A Touch of Summer was an idea that actually began as a website for the massage studio I'd started a few years ago, after being laid off from a Unix sysadmin job right before I'd graduated from massage school.

I had been getting soured on systems administration after more than 20 years, and always being part of the group of employees or contractors that was cut loose after we'd cleaned up all the systems problems. Going to massage school to try something different seemed like a good idea at the time, especially given the timing of that particular layoff, and for a while the studio was a good idea.

That website went away when my studio did, as the economy turned, but I held onto the domain because I really liked the name.

Fast-forward 4 years later. After doing a handful of WordPress websites for clients, including continuing support and maintenance, I decided I needed a new placemat for that service, and the new A Touch of Summer Design sprang forth.

It also gave me a chance to play with some of the things I enjoy doing the most: piecing together themes using the best pieces of other themes I run across.

No, I don't sit in my office and yell "IT'S ALIVE!" with lightning crackling in the background when I'm done... it just feels that way sometimes

I've mentioned elsewhere how much I love the slider in the Midnight theme, but I was also drawn in by the clean look of Nomadic. So I decided to add the slider I loved with Nomadic.

While it's 100% done, I am still importing older posts from my old blog, splitting those posts between this site and the website I'm creating for my voiceover work (yes, I have many skills... possibly too many!)

I like the way this one turned out, and I'd like to get some other thoughts on how it looks and flows.
