Default Fixed column width?

I'm new to Revolution News - and am in the process for transferring my free Wordpress account. One problem that I am having with Internet Explorer (it views fine in Firefox) is that some of my columns are falling underneath other items. I think I need to somehow set my parameters to a fixed column width. How do I do this?
