Default Adding an Existing Form Advice

Hello,
I have a form coded in html i want to use in a wordpress page. I have never been successful with a php form mailer.
Should I use a form plugin? I already have the form coded, I really don't want to rebuild it in a plugin.
Or is there a form mailer plugin I can use.
I'm not sure which way is best to go.
Thank you.
Jeannine
