Photoshop files

Sorry if this question has already been asked or is in the docs, but I was about to purchase a theme when my client wanted me to modify the layout a bit. Not a problem since I know HTML, CSS and Photoshop well. My question though is when I purchase a theme, does it include the PSD files? I'm assuming it does, but before I attempt to modify the layout, I just wanted to make sure the files include the PSD files. Thanks!
