Custom redirect permalink problem driving me nuts!

Hi

I need to setup a page forward on my site @ www.yourmusicvault.com but keep getting 404 errors and it's driving me nuts!

The process should be www.yourmusicvault.com/mobile redirecting to www.yourmusicvault.com/wp-register.php

I initially tried to hardcode a solution using a blank wordpress page with a slug that matches a custom php page I created to include a redirect. I got a 404 error.

Then I tried to use plugins and tried 'redirection' and 'page to url' but also got 404 not found errors. I have also checked the htaccess file against the wordpress codex but that seems correct. And I tried resaving my existing permalinks but no still happens.

The site was constructed using the default permalink structure and does use custom menus - i thought that could be a problem so i tried to use pretty permalinks instead but everytime I try to alter the permalink structure pages and posts become unreachable.

Please help, it's driving me crazy!
