How do you stretch the logo across the header?

Hello,

Anyone can tell me how to stretch the logo across the metro theme? I also want to take out the Nordstrom logo and stretch my logo across to the borders of the page, assuming I have the right logo size. What is the right size logo I have to make in order for the logo to be flush the left and right. Thanks anyone for letting me know. :)
