Set up as per demo?

Hi all.

Alhough I have been doing web design for a number of years this is my first dip into Wordpress (usually a Joomla fan).

I'd like to set my site up as per the demo site http://www.studiopress.com/demo/blackcanvas.html so I can then change the content to my own, but am struggling to see how to do this.

All I need to be able to do is to set it up as per the demo site then I cna find my way around, but at the minute I am totally lost!

Any pointers would be appreciated.
