Hi there,
I have a site that allows political candidates to post a profile (for which they pay) and invites platform and pundit articles which have comments open. ( http://mycandidacy.info/ ) I want to be find a way to mitigate misrepresentation. We have a solid T&C and Commenting Policy but ... For example. A constituent asks BOB a question. FRED ( who hates BOB ) beams in and posts a reply pretending to be BOB. Not good! I have looked at Disqus and Intense Debate but have never used either. Seems to me that if I asked commenters to sign in with Twitter or Facebook credentials that this might mitigate the issue. On the other hand, I don't want to make it onerous for Joe/Jane Public to leave a comment. Have any of you had to deal with type of thing? Making sure that the commenter is actually who they say they are? Thanks and cheers, Gil |
