The following line of code is producing a W3C Validation error on all of my sites where I am using a Genesis Child Theme. The specific error is: document type does not allow element "link" here. The document type is -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN which must be standard for either WordPress or Genesis. Is this line being generated by Genesis? If so, where is it found and can it be moved higher up in the head tag?
<link rel="canonical" href="http://www.victorfont.com/" /> W3C validation errors like this do impact search engine ranking. It's important that we figure this one out. I even turned off all plugins except Genesis. The line of code is still there, so my guess is that Genesis is producing it. I even unchecked Canonical Paginated Archives in the Genesis SEO Settings and it made no difference.
