Default Error messages preventing installing genesis framework

After downloading the genesis framework .zip file, I attempt to upload it to my wordpress site and I am prevented by the error messages that pop up:

Warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array in /home1/cloudsca/public_html/wp-includes/theme.php on line 521

Warning: uksort() [function.uksort]: The argument should be an array in /home1/cloudsca/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-themes-list-table.php on line 48

Warning: array_slice() expects parameter 1 to be array, boolean given in /home1/cloudsca/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-themes-list-table.php on line 55

I am very new to wordpress/genesis. I recently signed up with bluehost, installed wordpress with simplescripts and purchased the genesis framework. The site is empty. Haven't even installed any plugins or done any work to it.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thank you.
