Default What is the best way to use multiple themes at one site?

What is the best way to use multiple WordPress themes at a single site with a single installation of WordPress? Not for user-controlled switching and demonstration purposes (I know there is a plugin for that), but for content-presentation purposes. For example, if you wanted to use a magazine-style theme for one section of your WordPress-driven site, but a gallery-style theme for another section of the same site, what would be the best way to accomplish that?

Thanks in advance for any insights.
