Default Editing ‘Protected’ text from WordPress Password Pages

Hello Experts!

I'm setting up a password protected page for a client. I'd like to style the page a little different than the standard WordPress text. I'd like to be able to edit the text "This information on this page is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:
Enter Password: "

After an hour of research, I can see that this isn't all that easy. I tried this and this and still, when I make these changes, the text does not change.

I realize that there are member plugins available, but I think it's overkill for what we need.

Can you Halp?
