Featured Content and featured video not working

HI all!
I have installed featured-content Gallery Plugin to display the images i am using on the post, But I am unable to get any images rather what i see is a never ending loading bar with a black vertical strip under it. I have done almost everything from adding categories name w/o spaces and even new category name featured but nothing is working!

I referred to the support in the forum. I added the categories and everything that was required there but Still i am unable to fix the issue.

Also i am unable to get the Featured video active. I don't know which plugin will be the most suitable for that purpose.
