Question bbpress and studiopress question

Hi,

First off, Im still a newbie, so please go easy if I am in the wrong section to post regarding all of this.

I have the child theme: Family Tree, Genesis Connect, BP Compatibilty

Im new to all of this, wordpress, bppress, php, all of it. So, bear with me.

So, I have a forum and it has multiple levels. The top level looks awful.

Im not sure at this point the best way to go about fixing this. Im looking for direction.
Is this a formatting issue, or should I be coding something special for this? Or is there a simple fix for this.

Now, Im not too pleased with the look of the Family tree forum, the tables are not connected if you see. (I reset the CSS back to the original so it doesnt get confused with what I changed). The top part of the screen is really bad looking with extra wide table rows and orange lines in between. So, if you go to my Account->Messages on the very top, you will see how bad that looks. The top section should look lean and clean, single rows and without borders for the buddy admin bar.

I want my forum section plain and clean. basic, blue and white, clean. Just this one section. Is there an easy way to do this? I would like the first section to be a table and then you drill down.

I was hoping someone could take a look and tell me the best way to go from here. For all I know I have just configured something wrong. Or it maybe a CSS customization, or coding. So, seeking your expert help!

Thank you.
