How Can You Change or Create a Default Featured Image

For Revolution Church, how can you change the default featured image? Is this possible with Revolution Church and Lifestyle.

Where is the code that determines the default featured arcticle image located and where is the black backgound image located?

I have noticed that if no custom field image is assigned, there is a black background image that appears in the featured article area and it seems like the featured articles images stop scrolling and the black space just remains there.

Is there a way to create a featured article default image that appears if no custom field image is assigned to the custom field "articleimg."?
