Default Still having problem with my memory

I just installed connections (directory) pluggin. My google analytics stop showing up and working in my dashboarb is very slow now. I checked my php.ini file and my memory_limit is 64M already. I wanted to follow this tutorial http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_w...located_to_PHP to increase the memory for wordpress, but this code define ('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', 'xM'); doesn't exist in the wp-settings.php file. Do I have to to copy and paste it there? If so, where exactly?
Thanks.
