an error with Internet Explorer

I have a problem with Internet Explorer. When you click on a post that doesn't have the post image wit IE under the title it appears a giant imagebox without image...I don't have this problem with chrome or with Safari, both of them have a little image that replies the title before displaying the content of the post. Can you help me?.
