Images not displaying in Feature Content Plugin

Hi,

I am extremely new to this but have worked out the majority of what I need to know so far through trial and error. I am still having problems getting my images to display in the feature content gallery using the revolution lifestyle theme. As advised I have set up the custom field articleimg and included the url to the location of the desired file. The article title and content are appearing (indicating category pull is working without issue) but the associated image does not load. Should the images be stored in a specific directory? Thumbnails and hpbottom working no problems. Any advice I would really appreciate it.
