Change to Read More instead of Read More Property

I just purchased The Studio Press theme package a few days ago and am customizing the agent theme for a local non-profit. I'm fairly new to wordpress (not a programmer, but thought I was doing pretty good :D ) and I'm running into some issues. I have 2 issues I need to resolve fairly quickly.

1. The site is not for property, so i need all the posts to say "Read more.." instead of "Read more about property"

2. I don't know what I screwed up, but the featured posts on home page are not going anywhere. The links are doubling up like this :

Please help.
