Change Logo and Photoshop Beginner

I am not very skilled with Photoshop and cannot figure out how to duplicate the gradient background on a new logo image to replace the existing logo.jpg. All I want to do is add my logo instead of the Revolution/Chrome logo. I realize there is probably a very simple way to do this but I'm not aware of it. Thanks.
