Pre-sales questions... new to blogs... have some questions before I buy

I have a WordPress Blog for the first time ever and don't know much about blog design. I did figure out how to install themes. I just set up and am interested in the Genisis Framework and one of the paid themes but have some questions first and can't seem to find any phone number or email for support.

1) If I pay $79, does that get me the Genisis Framework and the theme? Is that alll I need to pay for in order to use the theme and make my Word Press Blog look nice?

2) How do I know what exactly besides columns/layout can be changed in each theme? Can background/text colors be changed on any of the themes?

3) Some themes show icons for Twitter/Facebook, etc...when I am looking at a template with those buttons in the upper right corner, for example, can that be moved to another area of the template? Let's say I wanted it on the bottom of the blog page instead or on the left.

4) Can I change the background of the themes to accomidate a background image?

5) Can headers be changed on all the themes? How about fonts?

6) If I wanted to eventually add advertisers to my blog, can the themes accomidate that?

I guess what I am trying to figure out over all is how flexable are the Genisis themes? There is not enough information on the website for me to figure this out. I look at a theme and it looks one way and it doesn't look like you can change colors and then I see a developer's example of the same theme and all the colors are changed and everything looks completley different and changed. Is this all done via drop downs and options, etc... or is this all custom programming?
