How do I ad image instead of featured gallery plugin?

Greetings,

I am trying to place an image in the space where the featured gallery plugin goes.
I deactivated the plugin.

On the Rev one themes, we would upload an image called tabber and it would fill that spot.
i tried that with tabber.gif maybe I need to try with .jpg and .png

I looked through all the pages in the theme editor and could not figure out where to post the image url for to put an image in that spot?????

QUESTION TWO - is the "BLOG PAGE" different or the same as the pages that our category posts are displayed on?
