Domain mapping

Embarrassingly simple question ! I've uploaded wordpress into a '/wordpress' folder as advised and can work on it fine, but can only access the site if I type www.website/wordpress. If I try remapping my domain to ww.website/wordpress it loses CSS style sheets and I can't access wp-config to work on my site.

Help !?
