How user friendly is Genesis?

I have no experience building Blogs. How easy is it to get your Blog up and running using the Genesis theme? Are there instructions available that take you step by step through setting up Word Press on your computer, setting up the blog, setting up hosting, adding plug ins etc?

i.e. is it so easy a cave man could do it?
