How to insert video in the homepage?

I am trying to put a video from you tube in the homepage (in the featured video area) I have created a category (video) written this category in the chrome theme option and then I created a post with a title and, in the body of the post, I paste the embed code of the video. But in the home page appears just the code. What have I missed?
