Removing the Filed under text etc

I know this has been posted loads of times but removing the Filed under wording at the base of a post isnt working for me i have entered

/** Remove the post info function */
remove_action( 'genesis_before_post_content', 'genesis_post_info' );

in my functions.php file but it does nothing I am using Genesis 1.8.0 and the latest wordpress version and the Metric Child theme anybody got any ideas how I can remove it cheers Alistair
