Default Changing Domains Issue

I have what may seem like a pretty convoluted problem. And I hope someone might be able to help me as I am lost. I apologize for the narrative below, but want to make sure I don't leave anything out as I really want this issue resolved so we can launch our website.

Two years ago, we purchased a domain (www.livingthebestmenow.com) through Godaddy and set up a forward with masking pointing to the free website my business partner got for being a student at Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Apparently, that free I.I.N. student website, pointed to the I.I.N. homepage. Sigh.

Last year we removed the forward with masking through godaddy. We purchased the Genesis and Mocha themes and I've spent the past few months building the website through www.livingthebestmenow.com/wordpress/wp-admin. Over the past 18 months the business has evolved, so last month, we purchased a new domain (www.creativeandhealthy.com) and we have attempted to move the content of the website that was completely built from www.livingthebestmenow.com to www.creativeandhealthy.com. With the help of goadaddy, we renamed the latter as our primary domain and went into the www.livingthebestmenow.com/wordpress/wp-admin and to Settings and changed the url and the site url to www.creativeandhealthy.com. I had backed up the database on the godaddy FTP server. With the help of godaddy we copied the files from the wordpress folder into the html root folder of the creativeandhealthy.com. I am able to go to www.creativeandhealthy/wp-admin and go to my pages. But there are a few issues that I have been told seem to be within the theme (Genesis or Mocha I'm not sure, the tech support at godaddy believed it was with Genesis).

Sigh. The copy (i.e. the words) are there and the columns are there. The images, however, are not showing up. There are boxes as place holders there, and if I hover over them, it shows the name of the image, but no image. That is only part of the problem. I have links on most of the pages that redirect people within the website (for example, we work with writers, so on a tab (or the word WRITERS) I have put a link to the permalink for the Writers' page. Yesterday morning, before attempting to change the domains, I had added the last few links to the pages. One of those was to the I.I.N. homepage. Now, in addition to the images not showing up on each page of our site, every single one of the internal links I had created (the tab to take Writers to the Writers page or the Mentoring tab to take them to the Mentoring program) now takes them outside the website to www.livingthebestmenow.com/mentoring (or whatever the name of the page is that it's supposed to go to), but they end up on the I.I.N. homepage. The tech support at godaddy said there seems to be a glitch in the theme (they believed it was Genesis). They suggested if I change the domain back to www.livingthebestmenow.com the issue would probably be resolved. As a last resort, I would do that, but it means I am stuck with an extra domain that I don't want for the life of the business (as I'd have to forwad that domain with masking to creativeandhealthy.com.

Am I the first person to have this sort of problem (with the images not being visible and with all the internal links - images, buttons, words that were linked to other pages) doing this sort of thing? Any links I had to other websites (outside mine) still work. It's only those set-up internally.

I have postponed the launch twice. I understand I won't be able to launch tomorrow, but we really do need to launch as soon as possible as there are some time-sensitive offerings we need to promote asap.

Any advice and help would be appreciated?

Thanks,
Dave
