Default Starting out with custom built child themes

Hey everyone,

I just purchased the genesis framework and all the child themes to start out developing websited with wordpress.

I am quite new to the world of wordpress but am quite comfortable and familiar with web design from psd to html and working with some javascript and php.

I am trying to get a footing in developing custom themes , basicly bringing my own designs across and building them on the genesis framework. I understand all that I need is to install the genesis framework and create a new directory for my child theme within wp-themes directory and all I need is a basic styleesheet to get me started. I have done this , but I need some more information to push me along in the right direction. Maybe some of you might have come across good tutorials for custom theme design on the genesis framework?

Hope someone can assist , chat soon.

Michael
