Author Archive / Permalinks

When I click on the author's name at the end of the post, the archive page for that author does not come up ... I have permalinks enabled and I'm using the "Day and name" structure ... ie, /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

However, this URL: http://freethinkingtools.com/?author=1 is giving me a "page not found" error.

Any insight?
