Default Genesis SEO -- Other plugins needed?

I'm finding a lot of people that swear by "All in one SEO" or Yoast's "WordPress SEO" plug-in, but I can't find much of a reason why. Stock WordPress (particularly with Genesis) has pretty solid SEO built-in, so the plug-ins really seem to just do two things:

1 -- Filter out some content in your robots file to reduce duplicate content.
2 -- Allow you to craft custom meta title and descriptions for each post.

#1 is certainly valid, and #2 is if you're willing to put in the work on each post. However, the stock Genesis SEO options take care of that, so is there any reason to install a different SEO plug-in?
