Creating Smaller Sidebars

Hi there
I would like to have the smaller sidebars that appear on the Lifesytle theme home page on my Corporate theme. I have uploaded the sidebar_left.php and the sidebar_right.php files into the Corporate theme files. I also copied the <?php include(TEMPLATEPATH."/sidebar_left.php");?>

<?php include(TEMPLATEPATH."/sidebar_right.php");?>
into my sidebar.php file.

I seem to be missing something because the sidebars do not show up to pick in the widget area of the site. What am I missing in this process?
