Use Viva Thumbs for Articleimg and thumbnail

I have a copy of viva thumbs but wondered if anyone has used it to make automatic articleimg and thumbs? I tend not to post near as much because I have to find images. If I could just find images one time it would be sweet and make things a lot easier. Any ideas or experiences?
