Default Problem with Page Templates and 2.8

After downloading and updating to wordpress 2.8 - along with the Streamline 3.0 upgrade, I no longer have the option to choose my page templates when writing/or editing a page. Under the attribute box the only choices available are 1)Parent - Is a parent of this page... and 2) Page Order - designated by a given number. So only the two standard attribute drop down menus are available to be chosen, and even when editing a published page, one in which was published with a special template (video, product, etc.) the option continues to be missing... also the previously published pages under the specific templates aren't formatted the correct way... it almost appears as if my site doesn't recognize them. Any ideas? Anyone else having this same problem? Thanks a million in advance!
