My site runs the News v1.1.1 child theme. Originally, most of the content was in Spanish, but as I began to feature articles in English I simply created a new category and placed a prominent image on the front page to direct Anglophone visitors to the content in English. I am now publishing content in both languages at the same rate, so the site has essentially become bilingual. I think that I now need to come up with a new solution to make the site reflect this and make it easier for my English-speaking visitors to find the appropriate content.
Ideally, I'd like the site to include a tab whereby users may choose the "English Edition" or the "Spanish Edition". So, if an English-speaker selects the "English Edition" the site would refresh and display the contents in that language. I think that this would probably require my creating an entirely new install of Wordpress and the child theme (say, at mydomain.englishedition.com), but I am really not sure.
Anyway, I'd appreciate your input as to the best solution to accomplish this. I understand that Wordpress offers the possibility of managing multiple installs. Does that mean, by the way, that when author "x" wants to publish a story he can choose on which site it shall be published (or even on both at the same time)?
Here is my site.
Thanks in advance for your input!
Martin
