Search widget acting weird

Search widget acting weird

My search widget seems to have been goofed up by the 2.8 upgrade.

The search button, which used to display on the lower right-hand side of the widget, is now appearing on the left side. It looks awkward. Ideas on how to either return the button to the lower right or to eliminate it?
