Excluding Right Sidebar Elements from Posts and Pages

hi folks

tried to search forum for the answer to this and couldn't find it

i would like to exclude the right sidebar widgets (or some content from them) from individual blog posts and pages

i have a video player on the upper right of my homepage - but i'd like for it not to display on posts when people follow a permalink

can't seem to find the proper template to edit this out

tried removing "<?php include(TEMPLATEPATH."/sidebar.php");?>" from page_blog.php but that didn't do it

any info appreciated
