I've found a lot of help and questions about the FCG on here although I haven't found one like the one I have myself. So if I'm a repeat questioner I would appreciate if you could direct me to that post that solves my repetitiveness.
Question: I would like to know if it's possible to use the Gallery on the homepage as just a feature to display images. For example; Could you drop an image into your a specified folder on your FTP than pull the image from that location to use in the Gallery. So it doesn't need to be pulled from a post or a page because there are some images I would like to use in the Gallery that I don't want to be on a page....my clients site will not include any type of 'blogging' period so therefore there's no posts. So the Gallery would automate through 3-5 images but w/o any pop up linked text displaying but it would still show the left and right navigation arrows. IMO it would look so much more 'corporate' and professional w/o all that text or w/o having to pull the images from a speficic page. If that's not possible w/ FCG .....is there an alternative? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you! |
